  1. Grand Prix racing team started 1962 by the
  2. top Australian driver, Jack Brabham (1926-).
  3. Their first car, designed by Ron Tauranac,
  4. gained its first win 1964, and in 1966
  5. Brabham won the world title in his own Repco
  6. engine-powered car. It was the first time
  7. anyone had won the world title in a car
  8. bearing their own name. Denny Hulme (1936-)
  9. won the title for the company the following
  10. year. Brabham retired in 1970 and the company
  11. lost some of its impetus. It returned to
  12. Grand Prix racing in 1989.
  13.
